I know this is very sudden. Students, under the direction of Lori Hagans, will be performing this Friday, December 12, at the Columbia Care Center in Scappoose. This is a community service activity for this quarter and we look forward to sharing the holiday spirit through scripture and song with the residents. We are in need of drivers. We need your help. Please take a moment to review the permission slip and sign and return as soon as possible. Thank you.

Here is your personal invitation! Tonight, one time only. Come see your student from Scappoose Adventist School share the reason for the season! Our annual Christmas program, under the direction of Lori Hagans, begins at 7 PM. Students should arrive by 6:30 PM and meet in their respective classrooms. Dress for success: White top/black bottom. See you there. I wanted to give you the 411 on upcoming assessments for the student for this week and next. Here is all the latest news at present and coming up. Also, our permission slip for our library visit. I wanted to give you a heads up about upcoming assessments for the week: There is still time! After all my efforts to communicate with you about book orders yesterday, can you believe I forgot to collect them. If you wanted to turn a book order in for this month send your book order in with payment today. Hello all! I wanted to update you on a couple of upcoming events. Students should expect a memory verse test tomorrow over lesson four and Grades 3-4 students will have a Bible Unit Test. You can help your child prepare by reviewing the study guide (click the link). The night before last, I came across a parenting article offered by Scholastic. What interested me was not the fact that it was an article for parents, but an article on how to help your child with test anxiety. As we are gearing up for some testing next week, students and parents may find some helpful tips as you prepare for Tuesday! Here is the latest Class Notes for October 23, 2008. Items of note include a few words on inclement weather, coming events, parent-teacher conferences next week, and our Scholastic Book Fair. Students should have come home with a hand written, individualized spelling word list for the upcoming unit test, which covers the last eight lessons. The lists may be short or long depending on how many words your child has missed on previous tests. If you should need a list stop by the classroom and I can photocopy a list for you. |
